The FireWise Certified First Responder Inspector program meets or exceeds the job performance requirements (JPRs) outlined in the 2024 Edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1030 “Standard for Professional Qualifications for First Responder Inspectors”.

At the conclusion of First Responder Inspector, participants will have the knowledge and skills to conduct basic fire inspections and evaluate the fire safety of buildings. They will understand the fire inspection process, fire protection systems both passive and active, and be familiar with codes and standards that apply in Canada. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills required to perform company inspections and prepares you to attain first responder fire inspector certification if desired.
